 Western D snaffle bit features a barrel-jointed mouthpiece and independent movement in the bit bars. The barrel joint limits the nutcracker action of conventional snaffle bits and spreads pressure over a larger area.

Sweet Iron bits will rust due to oxidisation of the metal, creating the sweet taste they are designed to have. This sweet flavour will work to increase salivation and encourage acceptance of the bit.
